I want to like this place because it is in town and would be convenient, but today was the final straw.

Through previous experiences I had sworn off this business for gel or acrylics, but figured a simple removal would be fine. I was mistaken. My nail tech cut the tips off of my nails and then proceeded to use the cuticle trimmer to cut/peel off my polish. It was painful and she even gouged me through my nail (second picture). She did not apologize but asked if it was painful and I said yes. She then asked if I wanted them soaked (that was what I had been expecting in the first place). She quickly used the dremel to take the top coat off and poured the acetone to soak my nails. There was so much remover in the foil that it was running down my palms and onto my shirt sleeves. After that I was sent to a man who was much gentler and tried to lighten the mood.

At this point I can’t overlook the lack of skill, care, and cleanliness. I’ll be traveling elsewhere to get all future appointments taken care of.

Most of the individual technicians are amazing! I especially love Kristy who does natural nails and would rate her a 10! Kimmy also does great services and is super knowledgeable but her attitude is a little rude. If your ok feeling uneasy the entire service, i highly recommend her work! Melissa does awesome work too!

However the salon as a whole and ownership sucks. After going there about once a month for the last two years for services with Kristy and recently transitioning to Kimmy when I started back on acrylics, I was shocked at a recent experience I had.

Kimmy did my nails on a Friday. The polish was SUPER thick when she was applying it and we tried drying the gel several times. No big deal – they looked great when I left! That night I took a shower (like I always do) and the nail polish bubbled.

Also no big deal right? I’m like I’ll just go get them repainted as I literally got them done that day. Should not be an issue and it was no one’s fault, the product was just bad and way too thick coming out of the bottle. Things happen!

I went in the next day and Kim (manager) was super annoyed and rude that I was back and asking for the nails to be repainted. I told her what happened and showed her and she told me someone would be with me soon.

As I’m waiting to go with someone, I am looking at colors, and Kim says “you have to do the same color”. I said “I dont want to do the same color because it’s bad and thick. I also dont know what color that was”. She said “We do and if you chose a new color, it’s a polish change. Charge is $35”. I said “But the polish used is bad.” She said “If it’s bad for you, it’s bad for everyone”. I said “Yes, it would be”.

The guy that I was put with was so kind and sweet and he just kept saying “Let me fix for you so you dont have to pay anything” and he whispers “I’ll find a similar color thats better”. The whole time he is looking at the work and shaking his head at what was done – which to me is no one’s fault, it was just bad product.

While I am there, Kim and Kimmy are talking in their language about the situation (I can understand parts of the discussion) and asking the guy I’m working with questions. He just keeps saying “it’s OK” and rubbing my hand. When I went to go wash my hands Kimmy, who did my nails the day before, glared at me.

It was an extremely strange experience for a service that I just had done and paid $60 for the day before. Especially when I was not upset in anyway and it was no one’s fault, which I said when I came in.

The guy that helped me went above and beyond to fix something he didn’t have to after Kim was so rude. I tipped him $20 just because he was kind to me.

The entire experience made me really uncomfortable for something that wasn’t a big deal. I’ve spent a lot of time and money here and don’t ever plan to go back to be in that hostile environment again!

I went today and was treated so poorly by the owner I am still stunned! First, The nail techs are usually really great, but the owner is a piece of work! I called for an appointment on Friday, she called me back to push me back an hour, and I was fine/flexible in doing that! I get there on time, and I walk in and there was zero greeting from her while she swept the floor. I was told to pick out a color but I do powder dip on my nails and gel for my feet, so I asked what service was first. At that point, I noticed who I normally go to was an open station so I asked to do my nails first and was immediately scolded by the owner as though this was some terrible question so she asked me to “tell me who you want to go to!!!” Raising her voice at me! I said I did not know their first name. She was still scolding me when my regular tech (and I think it’s Kimmy but I honestly get her and the owners name messed up and love the young female tech next to her, but I was just blanking out!) The tech calls me over to get me out of the situation and I sit down feeling like I was a scolded grown woman ready to get teary eyed I was so embarrassed! It doesn’t stop there! The owner then came next to my station by the wax area and brings a customer down. She begins to tell the customer “thank you for being so nice, some people are really crabby today, and life is too short, they have a choice to come or not come” and clearly she’s talking about me! My tech was literally shaking her head at me to keep the peace. I have been going there for some time and have seen this owner do this before but to treat me this way was so uncalled for and she sent a clear message she does not care about my or others’ business! I went through with my appointment and tipped 30%! But, I can’t support this and my tech told me she values me and asked me to come back, but I just can’t, not after the comments pretty much indirectly to my face which was the most immature and lack of customer service I have ever experienced.
