I lost my grandmother and my uncle four days apart from each other in late December. I understandably fell into a depression and my personal care went to the wayside. My nails were the first to take the hit. I had two deeply broken nails, they were horribly overgrown, and messy. I walked in, desperate, as my normal girl had been busy and we couldn’t set an appointment. They were able to fit me in and the technician who worked with me was so was gentle and talented. I was embarrassed at the state of my nails, but she did not judge me. I got a pink cat eye and they were so beautiful. I walked away feeling a little bit more like myself. Of course, I broke a nail about a week out. Normally, I would have ignored it until my next fill however, my uncle’s funeral is tomorrow and I am signing at the service. He spoiled me. He adored me and I adored him. A broken nail feels akin to a bird with a broken wing and I did not want to perform for him not looking my absolute best. I called and set an appointment just to fix the one nail. They sat me down, repaired my nail, and sent me on my way. “You’re good.” He said when I went to the register. “I’m good?” I asked and he nodded.

I walked out the door and I looked up to the sky and thanked my uncle.

The gentle care, the excellent work, but more importantly the kindness I received in this salon has provided me a softness I needed from the world. Thank you!

There’s really no other place like house of color. The selections of colors (for me – all the shades of beige!), the variety of service options, and the amazing style of each staff member make this place the only place to get your nails done. Whether you want a unique design, an elegant neutral, or to just let them decide- you won’t be disappointed. This place is busy. Plan ahead, book an appointment, and be patient. Trust me, the customer define and quality are worth it

I got my nails done on Sunday for family photos for the following Saturday. The guy (Mikey) seemed nice, my nails looked good I was happy. BUT on Monday one of my tip/nail fell off randomly I didn’t jam my nail or anything. Then on Wednesday at work another on randomly fell off. I have never had a nail fall off with without me doing something for it to… I went back to the nail salon on Thursday to have them fix my nails. They ended up fixing all of them to make sure they didn’t fall off but they seemed VERY unhappy about it. I was polite and repeatedly thanked them for everything but the glare back said it all… a couple nails were super thick compared to the rest so I asked her to shave them down to match the rest of my nails so they were all even. The lady huffed and said “well they are just going to brake off again!” I told her I didn’t want them so thin that they would brake off but just enough so they matched my other nails. She was so rude and again said “fine I’ll do it but it’s going to brake off!” I asked if the rest of my nails would fall off? And she didn’t respond. She shaved the couple nails down as I requested but did not seem happy about it. When she was done I thanked her again before leaving and she did not acknowledge me I guess she was too busy working on someone else’s nails… In the end my nails turned out good and the design looks great but I was really unimpressed with my experience! I have many co-workers who have gone there so I wanted to try it out. But I will not be back. They charge to much for a bad time and nails that fall off. When I have told to other coworkers they have said the same thing. Good nails! AWFUL Customer SERVICE…

I love this establishment. I enjoy Anna’s artwork. I can come in and tell her to do whatever she feels like and she goes for it. It is refreshing to not have to think about what my nails will look like. She does a wonderful job and I am always satisfied with the results.

The pedicure I received was great. Linda did awesome and was accommodating. My only disappointment with the pedicure was that the chair was uncomfortable and the massage features were very loud that I felt disruptive using it, so I did without. However, I am very disappointed in my manicure. First, they were out of the dip color I wanted to match my toes so I settled for this gray. The tech seemed bored with my manicure and left the tips bulky with the dip residue under my nail. He did not try to initiate conversation at all. The manicure was left with streaks and marks where my natural nail shows through. Extremely pricey for what I received. I will not be going back.
