i’ve tried 4 nail salons in nyc, and this is by far the best one. i love that they take off gel with a machine rather than the acetone soak & scrape method. the quality of polish is so much nicer than other places. this is a week after i got my nails done and they still look amazing.

Should’ve trusted the reviews. Most rushed most careless most painful pedicure of my life. It was as if lily was just trying to finish as quick as she possibly could. She cut 2 nails too short and now I’m in a lot of pain. She was also about to not clean out my nails.. I had to ask her to. The pain job was rushed as well and looks worse than if I had just done them myself at home. On top of that she was coughing on my feet the entire time. Avoid this place !!

I am very disappointed with the service I received here. The technician was nice but if I’m paying over 150 dollars to do my nails I expect to have my finger nails even and the powder applied properly. She almost left one toe bigger than the other. This isn’t a matter of money I’m obviously there because I can afford it. They also asked for tipping. I’m not tipping for a service I’m unhappy with. She admitted she used old glue that’s why nails look the way they do. Please don’t beg people for tip I work in hospitality tipping is for exceptional customer experience.

I also should have trusted reviews. I have cuts on my hands from where she filed into my skin. I had to pull my hand away while she was filing because she was cutting me and then she’d do it again on the next finger. I kept having to ask her to correct the shape, because it was crooked. My nails look okay, not great, but I am in pain and certainly won’t come back.

I regularly get gel manicures and this was my first time visiting Hong Nail. I went for a matte polish and within three days, all of the edges had lifted and it peeled off. I’ve never seen this before. I would have gone back in to have them fix it, but I had to go out of town for the event that I got my nails done for (without my nails done). So disappointing and I’d recommend heading elsewhere that uses better quality polishes or procedure.
