I’ve been coming to golden nail lounge (south congress location) ever since they opened and they’ve got it right every single time!! i love coming here because the service is incredible and the work is flawless always. Today I was serviced by Emily and she was absolutely wonderful. She was extremely nice and so very talented as she took her time to produce exactly what i requested. I’m a simple girl and I love a classic set and she delivered just that. I usually don’t book appointments due to time but I may have to just to visit Emily again. Can’t recommend her and this location enough. Do yourself a favor and treat yourself. You will not regret it!

If I could give 0 stars I would. I came here to get an acrylic overlay removed & switched out for a gel manicure and left this place with a WOUND I needed to tend to. When you go into a nail salon, you expect a relaxing & comfortable experience but this nail salon did not provide that experience for me at all. When the nail tech was removing the acrylic overlay from my nails she didn’t seem to be paying attention and ended up gouging a chunk of my cuticle off one of my fingers. It hurt so bad and I’ve been nicked before while getting my nails done but this is far worse. To make matters worse, she tried to ignore my bleeding finger that would not stop bleeding and continued to do the manicure!!! I had to ask her to please pass me a napkin that way I wouldn’t have blood spilling all over my clothes. So then after a while I guess she could tell I wasn’t happy (I wanted to cry) she asked someone else to do my nails and she commented that I should’ve let her know that my acrylic overlay was peeling at the bottom but how am I supposed to know this??? I’m not a nail tech! I’m trusting you guys to know what you’re doing. So then.. at the very end of this horrible experience they had the nerve to try to charge me full price. My nails look horrible now with this literal hole on my finger so why the hell would I have to pay full price. After I explained what happened to them, they ended up giving me 20% off just the manicure. Which just shows how greedy and unsympathetic these people are. I spent that little bit of money buying some bandaids and wound care at HEB. It was horrible. I wouldn’t recommend this salon to any of my loved ones EVER.

Finally had enough of this place. I’ve gone here at least 6 times now and only left happy twice. Tried to give them the benefit of the doubt especially because it was close to home.

There are some really great nail techs here but also some that are not good. Mia and Windy were great! Tina consistently cuts me creating infections along my cuticle, doesn’t do what is asked, rude, and every nail ends up looking very different. They’ll also charge you $10 just to trim your cuticles.

The basic pedicure was absolutely basic… doing the minimum.

The counters up front are incredibly dusty (please create a regular cleaning routine where you wipe down all surfaces) and majority of the nail techs tools/carts are pretty crusty looking.

The positives: the people working the front desk counter are always very kind and I’ve never waited very long as a walk in. Really wanted to make this place work for me, but I will not be returning.

I will never be coming back here. I came here for the first time and was hoping to finally find a place close to my apartment. I asked for the first photo on here and this is what I left with. MIND YOU, this is after them “fixing” the nails. I asked for square/thin nails. I don’t like my nails to be thick and huge from the bottom of the nail.
I got a pedi and that was great but my nails are horrible. Will never come back here, I’m so disappointed. I wasted over $190 on day and I’ve been here for 5 hours .

I usually come here and it’s a pleasant experience, however not today. Steven rushed filing my nails and cut/hurt 8/10 of my nails & he hit me several times with the long nail file from doing it so quickly. He let nail glue get all over my fingers and when I asked him to please remove it he told me to “wash my hands” which… the soap and water did NOT take the glue off. I was not offered a drink either. Sound silly but customer service is the key reason I return places and today was just not a good experience. The guy at the counter asked me how it was and I told him, he did nothing about it. Very disappointed because nails are also bubbly

Side note: Q and Mia have been my nail tech before and they are lovely and great!
