Jade always does an amazing job on my hair. She is a master at creating the perfect hair color, and every time I walk out of there feeling amazing! She is super friendly, listens to all your hair concerns, and works with you to give you the cut and/or color that you are envisioning. The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing. I got my hair cut here a year ago, and it was great, but this time around with a new person was just bad and a little confusing. I asked for long layers, and I wound up with an uneven and unblended single “layer.” The most confusing part was that she didn’t finish drying or styling my hair. She put almost no product in my hair, dried it for maybe 5 minutes, and then sent me out with hair that was still damp. Not just a little bit; it was actually damp. I was so shocked when she ended the appointment that I just went along with it, and I shouldn’t have. When it finally dried later, my hair wound up drying WAY frizzier than when I air dry it, because even I know to put some anti-frizz product in it. I didn’t realize what she had done to the “layering” until later. I am not sure if she doesn’t know how to cut and style hair in general, or if she just has a problem with extremely wavy/curly hair. I have not had time to pay someone else to go fix it yet, but I’m going to have to— in 30 years of going to lots of different salons, I have never had to do that before.

DO NOT GO TO THIS HAIR SALON IF YOU HAVE CURLY HAIR. They gave me bangs when I asked for curtain bangs to my chin. They do not know how to cut curly hair, style curly hair, and they DO NOT know how to dry curly hair. Please go somewhere else if you have curly hair. You’ll have to go somewhere else to get it fixed anyways.
