Kind of like BC and AD I will now look at life as BG and AMG (Before Gilly and After Meeting Gilly). I had been getting my nails done a while at a different salon before finding Gilly or Fuzz, and though the previous person doing my nails was very kind I now realize I was going to a very expensive chop shop that happened to have a high rating. The difference in removal and prep alone when I had my appointment with Gilly at Fuzz genuinely blew me away (difference being removal wasn’t rushed and instead my nail health was prioritized and my cuticles were actually cared for and not ignored). The attention to detail, taking time to share info and explaining that the ridges I had started getting after visiting previous nail salon weren’t normal like my previous nail tech had shared but instead were known as ‘rings of fire’ that occur when using an efile improperly to try to get it done faster were all tremendously appreciated. Gilly is not only incredibly knowledgable about nail health but also a genuinely incredible artist whose free handed designs have have left me staring at my hands for hours on end in genuine wonder (I literally have a work of art on each nail??). It’s wild that I have a new relationship with my hands now. I also picked up some of the cuticle oil that they make (VANILLA PEPPERMINT SMELLS DIVINE I WANT TO BATHE IN IT) and it’s changed my mind completely about nail oil being messy/greasy because their formula absorbs into skin and there’s various applicators available (I got roller ball). I feel like I need to shout from the rooftops to anyone that wants to explore getting their nails done to come here – I had no idea what I was missing out on. Do yourself a favor and book an appointment your hands will thank you for it. (Also Fuzz’s vibes as a whole are genuinely immaculate everyone working there is warm and the space itself is gorgeous I spent a lot of time appreciating all the art everywhere.) I will literally NEVER be going anywhere else point blank period.

I’ve been going to Fuzz for two years and have always had an incredible experience. The space has a beautiful, positive energy and each nail artist has their own style and service offerings. My favorite thing about Fuzz is how unique it is! I love getting nail art, and a lot of times I don’t even have an idea of what I want but, because the staff is so talented, collaborative, and inspiring, I ALWAYS leave with something I love. If you want the coolest nails in the city, you have to go to Fuzz!

FUZZ is absolutely the best nail place in Columbus. Brittni and Danielle have made a wonderfully open, safe, kind and thoughtful space built with intention and love. From the attention to detail on my nail art and how the whole staff welcome you to conversation, it’s my favorite place to get my nails done. There is also an adorable plant vendor inside and some secondhand clothes to purchase, which make it a 3-in-1 trip! They have comedy nights and yoga pop-ups, it really is the place to be.

I’ve been getting manicures at Fuzz for over a year now — It’s one of my favorite gems of Clintonville and by far the most atmospheric nail salon I’ve been to 🙂 so fun and funky, very come-as-you-are. The artist I see is Vaun and I recommend her constantly ! Whether I come in with a specific idea in mind or no plan at all, vaun always makes sure I leave happy and excited about my nails. If you’re looking to try something new with your nails, definitely give fuzz a try ! 🧚🏻‍♀️🦋🪷✨🍒🍧

Vaun Michelle is an absolute angel & unparalleled nail technician! I am a disabled wheelchair user with hand mobility issues and need a little extra time, care and patience moving my hands around. Vaun is adroit at working around my body to make me as comfortable and pain-free as possible. They are incredibly thoughtful, warm, & I am at ease as soon as I’m sitting in their chair! They have been working with me on gel overlays to grow my natural nails & Vaun’s skills are iconic – my nails have never been so long and healthy! Vaun is the perfect person to go to for your nail health & design needs but especially those who value accessibility & gentle care.

The space is wheelchair-accessible entering, with ample room to wheel around, with eclectic and whimsical decor. The bathroom is not wheelchair accessible, but it is a private single room and very tidy. ♿️💕
