I have been a loyal customer for about a year and a half now and have even recommended others. However, I recently had an appointment with Nicole to get a haircut and a fashion color. Normally I’m pretty lenient with my hair results because I’ve done so many crazy things in the past, but I’m honestly just so disappointed with my appointment and the amount of money I spent that I might never return. I came in with 3 different reference photos and spent about 30 minutes going over it with her of what I wanted. I specifically stated that I didn’t want color highlights and when she asked again I said no. Well, I ended up with color highlights so guess who had to pay for two sets of 7 foils because she turned the chair so I couldn’t see her put the bleach on. Not only that, but she had poor time management and kept seeming like she was unsure of what she was doing and even at one point said she tried to Google it. I should’ve just left then. Once the color was finally done, she spent about another 10-15 minutes trying to figure out what I meant when I said I wanted curtain bangs and blended face framing pieces with layers. I even had her look at the three reference photos. Well she was in such a rush that not only was she ripping at my hair, but she gave me first straight bangs then rounded bangs after I said I didn’t want straight across bangs. Then I asked for the face framing pieces and she proceeded to razor in a completely different spot. After that I didn’t want her to do anything else so I said it was fine and paid and left before it got any worse.

I would follow stylist Adrienne to the ends of the earth if need be, but I’m glad she’s at From the Top! I love this salon, and always feel very comfortable here. It is professional, clean, and relaxing. I know all the stylists must be great, but Adrienne has been cutting my curly hair for over ten years, and she does amazing work! She listens, advises, listens some more, and then works her magic, both in cut and color. I love/hate recommending her however, because I don’t want to it to be hard to get an appointment!

I received a gift certificate for my birthday from my husband and he specifically asked about how much I would need to get my hair cut and my nails done with my daughter. I have called several times trying to get these services done and they cannot seem to accommodate both services with one appointment. I do not live super close to the location and have been trying to make it for the same time. Since I have not been successful I even asked if my husband could return it and I was told no because it’s like cash, so I asked if I scheduled one of the services I wanted could I get the remaining balance back in cash because I would still need to get the other service somewhere else if they could not accommodate, I was also told no I would get a credit. I called today and spoke with Kelly and she was beyond rude, she spoke in a condenscending tone the whole conversation and when I mentioned I was unhappy and why (that I have been trying to make this appointment for a couple of weeks) her tone immediately became defensive and very aggressive about how she cannot control the fact they don’t have services available at the same time. I explained that they should have offered the information to my husband who clearly wanted both services when he purchased that both would be difficult to do at once (looking for any kind of empathy) instead she just continued being rude, I asked her if she could stop talking to me the way she was and she said she would not because she works there and I offended her by saying I was unhappy that I couldn’t make use of the gift certificate/make an appointment. I was informed on a previous call trying to make an appointment that the owner is on vacation so I asked her when the owner would be back and she flew off and out right started YELLING at me telling me to go ahead and make a complaint about her and she couldn’t wait to hear what I said because I was wrong for saying I was unhappy, and then proudly gave me her name (without my asking) and then asked me ‘what’s YOUR name?’ I told her I was not comfortable giving it to her and she said that I should because she gave hers. I declined and said I would be back in touch with the owner when she returned and she ended the call with ‘go ahead, and be sure to tell her that Kelly K-E-L-L-Y is a huge DOUCHE’ and disconnected… I cannot even believe this is considered to be acceptable behavior, for the prices charged for their services they certainly do not know how to treat a customer. I will update review once I speak to the owner.

First time here. I got a great haircut. Finally a stylist who didn’t cut my hair too short. I also didn’t even need an appointment. I plan to use their service in the future.
