I was a walk in. Very nice staff. Unfortunately the lady helping me didn’t speak very good English. I was under the impression it was cash only so I left to go to get cash from the atm. I also asked the price for the regular pedicure and gel manicure. I was told one price and charge another. I had to take a star away for that. Other than that I had a relaxing pleasurable experience and was completely satisfied with the service. The lady at the front desk stepped out to get something to eat so I understood. I will definitely return, as I love the precautions, friendly atmosphere and service received.

Overall a nice experience. I enjoyed the mimosas. They do not have massage chairs when you get your toes done. Can be a long wait, very friendly customer service experience. Very clean, they practice social distancing. Eye brow wax is excellent.

It was my first time going to this place to get a fill-in done previously at a different establishment. I was excited to patronize this place because it’s was black owned.

Unfortunately, I didn’t have the best experience. The tech that did my nails had great conversation but I could also tell it was to make up for the fact that the customer service is very poor. There were five nail techs working that day including the woman that did my nails. And the same woman doing my nails constantly kept stopping to open the front door which remained locked, close customers out and answer the phone. There were four other ladies there and they didn’t do anything to help her out, she seemed very overwhelmed and busy. Speaking of the other nail techs, all the women working were Spanish, it’s not a problem obviously but it took me aback. I also wanted my brows done but the one doing my nails was the only person there who knew how to do eyebrows and she ended up not doing them because it was busy.

The work is subpar, the nail tech didn’t know how to do basic designs even though she expressed to me she has been doing nails since the 70s multiple times. My polish also wasn’t the neatest but I fixed it w/ a nail file, I’ll try to post a picture. That will most likely be my first and last time as the first impression wasn’t a positive one. I wish them the best on their endeavors.

I went for a Full-set and Pedicure I’ve asked Rosa(the Receptionist) if the design I wanted could be done she asked a Spanish tech who said “she could do the design using the Dip Powder” I declined that tech. Sitting across the room while I got my Pedicure done I noticed the ONLY African American Sister in there once she was done with her client I asked her if she could do my nails and she said “Yes”. The Sister name is Kayla and she not only understood the assignment but she Executed my nails 👏🏾 🥰😉She gave me EXACTLY what I asked for I recommend anyone going to Essie’s nail salon too ask for Kayla the Sister KNOWS her work believe ME you won’t be disappointed. It’s more to write about my experience but I don’t want to take away from the amazing experience I had with Kayla. See attached photos I am VERY satisfied with my nails and will be going back to ONLY have Kayla do my nails. But I do agree that for a Muslim Black Owned salon there should be more Sister’s Muslim or not working there. 😕
BTW the Spanish tech who did my Pedicure cut my toe when she was cutting away skin. 🤦🏾‍♀️

I didn’t pay too much at all for a mani/pedi, I believe $70 (with gel mani).

They offered refreshments, played good music. The place smelled amazing and the vibe was real chill but professional.

My manicure lasted 2.5 weeks before it started to look a mess, which was right on time for my next appointment.
