I loveeeee this store, the owner inspired me to go back to school and get my cosmetology license. She’s full of knowledge and can help with all of your beauty needs and it’s the ONLY black owned Beauty Store in town! Absolutely so proud of this woman and now we get to see her business in the mall. How awesome is that? Great job!

Was looking forward to not having to drive all the way to DesMoines for a hair store . But I was followed the entire time that I was In the store . & as soon as I grabbed something I wanted I was asked for her to hold it . Even though I wanted to not purchase anything because of how uncomfortable I felt I went ahead and got what I needed ,then when I go to check out she doesn’t give me a receipt.i ask for one & says she doesn’t know how to access it and nothing she can do . I’ll be making that extra 30 minute drive to Desmoines for better service .

I am very disappointed. The service was nice but the product was not. I purchased some hair last minute because a wig I had ordered hadn’t arrived. I bought some hair weave bundles because I did not like any of the wigs. I bought 4 bundles of hair (along with some other products) for almost $500!! The quality of the hair is not good. It was shedding right after I took it out of the package. The bundles were very thin. I had to use almost 4 bundles of hair for my whole head. I NEVER use that many bundles of hair for my head. I also had no information about the product. I felt like the product is too overpriced for the quality. I have bought cheaper hair with better quality than this. I love to support small businesses, but this was not good. Everything is super overpriced for what the actual value is. I may not purchase from here again.

I have literally followed her from Main Street to the North Grand Mall. She is always nice and professional and the store is well stocked and clean. So glad we finally have a store in Ames that caters to AA women and not just us but all women hair it’s really helpful for people without vehicles too. Thank you

Owner was very nice when I went in to buy a wig but told me the wig could be parted in the middle. When I got home and opened the wig I noticed it cannot be parted down the middle. When I asked if I could exchange it she was rude I never put the wig on my head or messed with it in any way. They don’t care about customer satisfaction just making money .
