I am a mixed African American and VERY protective of my hair. After calling 5 different salons I decided to take my chance with this one, and I boldly asked for a cut, bleach and dye for a very hard color choice.

They were fantastic. Absolutely wonderful. I was assisted by Nicole herself, and every step of the way she let me know her concerns, what could possibly happen, checked in with me consistently to make sure I was okay with the process. She was very detailed in her cut (unlike others who gave me a 2.5 inch difference on one side) and even offered me hot chocolate (a little hot chocolate goes a long way). We were both outside our comfort zone but said F it and tried it anyway-and I couldn’t be happier with the result. For the complex job I had it only took 2 hours, and cost $200.

You’re in good hands here.

I had an exceptional experience getting a dip manicure, gel pedicure and a deep conditioning hair treatment this past week! I will be back for sure. Anyone who has curly hair should consider seeing Sierra. Her mother has curly hair and she has taken the time to learn what we need. I also really enjoyed my time there, all the staff and as super thoughtful and kind and conversation was light and fun. I will be back ☺️

We came here after seeing so many recommendations on a local page. Nikki was super helpful finding a solution for my daughter’s attempt at cutting her own bangs! She feels super cool and edgy now, and the bold clip-ins are just her style!

I was also not expecting them to be as affordable as they were! I spent less than half as much as her last cut (without clip-ins!)

5/3/2023 Update: Another great experience! This time I was eager to chop off all my own hair, so I booked online. My original stylist got stuck in the snow (yes, in May… it’s the UP) so Simone was able to squeeze me in to her last appointment of the day! I got a shaggy pixie cut, and she did a fantastic job! She paid so much attention to the details, and then added some copper highlights that look great!

Went to Nicole for a cut and color, and I couldn’t be more happy with the results. Very open communication, clean environment, and everyone there is very friendly. I left with hair that felt very healthy, shiny, and color was perfect.

be careful who you go to here!! not all of the stylists/nail technicians are professional or women supporting women unfortunately. i used to get my nails done by Simone, she did a great job and the appointments were fun! i had no hesitation about going back to her once i was regularly getting them done again- only to find out she was secretly spending time with my (now ex) partner. it’s not appropriate to hangout with any woman’s partner “secretly” but for it to be a previous/current client’s partner? that speaks to a lack of professionalism and low moral value. i used to recommend anyone who asked about a salon in Marquette this way; but now i tell people to steer clear of the women in this place.
