Love it here! I go every month! Laughing at the negative reviews because those people were obviously just not clear about what they wanted and you also can’t treat every nail salon like it’s high end! They are a very respectable family owned business and work hard! But the more complicated nails would be hard for anyone! A young girl came in one day when i was there wanting a detailed image on each individual nail! They aren’t Pinterest yall. Not a single place in town can do that kind of work!

It’s the day before my wedding and I got my nails done elsewhere in Dubuque. They turned out awful and I was in full mental breakdown mode. Elite slipped me in for a last minute walk in and were so incredibly kind to me! They did a phenomenal job on my nails, I could not be happier with them!

Amazing! It was my first time at Elite (I used to go somewhere else but I had a bad experience and wanted to try a different salon). I was welcomed upon walking in even when it was really busy. My nails were started within 10 minutes! When I showed the picture she was very confident. They turned out beautiful and were cheap for a 10 nail design! I will be returning for all of my acrylics!

I went here for the first time with my stepdaughter on August 6, 2022. We went to get our nails done for her grandpa’s (my FIL) memorial services. When the lady asked what was wanted, I said I really needed my cuticles/nail beds cleaned up. She put reading glasses on & said no problem. What would I like. My stepdaughter pushed for dip, something I’d never had done & did not understand.

I have strong nails. I get basic mani pedis. Since lock down, I’d gotten none. I was set down at table #1. He took the fine grain Dremel *to my natural nails!!* It hurt like hell & I jerked away. He kept at it. Expecting them to know their trade, I said nothing further. he did nothing but damage my nails & dip them. I realized he had no intention of cleaning out my cuticles, or side nail beds, (except applying his drill), I asked again. He said I should talk to my doctor. I asked if he would clean up my nails, not why they were like that. He didn’t even push back my cuticles! This job looked a week old the next day!

My stepdaughter is very happy with her nails. They were well done. After coping with my dad in law’s death, and then my grandfather’s, I finally had a chance to ask someone about it, and the very painful infection that followed. She was shocked.

I went to the nail salon. Once a customer helped the lady understand I wanted an owner, she asked why. I told her & she clearly couldn’t believe it.
Believe it. If you go there, don’t sit at table #1!!

PS I wear Rx finger joint splints, which I took off for the apt. They did not do this. I’ve worn splints for many years.
I want my money back at the very least. My hands hurt & will require a doctor visit!
When looking at the photos, that darker skin around my nails is actually red & swollen. So disgusted.

Decided to get all white nails for the summer from my usual French. Julie did an amazing job! Elite is very clean and professional! You can’t go wrong with any of the nail technicians!
