Giving this one star because I’m not allowed to get zero. Went to this spot for use first time for a refill 3 days ago. My middle finger nail broke the next day as I was unpacking groceries… nothing heavy that should have caused my nail to break as bad as it did. I didn’t get to go back until today because I had to give the nail a few days to heal, as it was very painful and bled.
When I walked in, I tried to explain to the owner what happened but before I could finish he told me to have a seat and someone would fix it. I mentioned I might be interested in making an appointment for my daughter later this week.
I got in the chair just a few minutes later and a woman proceeded to file down the gel that was remaining on my nail, leaving a majority of what was on the upper part on my nail. She started to do an extension instead of putting on a new tip. As she was doing it, I told her the nail looked crooked and asked for her to fix it. She filed it a bit then began to apply the polish. She told me that when the light went off, I was finished and could leave. I couldn’t believe that this was how she was leaving my nail. I didn’t even know how to explain
and didn’t want to stand the embarrassment of them getting further frustrated with me and talking about me in another language, as was done the first time when another woman was asking me about a damaged nail that I had and then started speaking to the group in another language.
The gentleman turned and asked if I still wanted to book an appointment for my daughter. I said no not any more. He didn’t care to ask why so I left. Horrible experience. In the last photo, you can see how lifted the extension is from my nail. Sorry for the blood spot underneath but it gives more understanding of how painful the break was.

I never ever write reviews but today just made me frustrated than ever. I wanted to get my nails done today, I had time before work so I figured I’d get my nails done. My friend has recommended this place many times and her nails always looked amazing. While I understand I walked in and it was busier, the woman told me it would be a 15-20 minute wait which I had no worry waiting. I got sated around 2:00 and the women soaked my hands in acetone because I had previous nails on. Then she walked away to go to another customer. The other woman comes over and cuts my nails and has me soak them a little longer. It is around 2:30 and still nothing has been done to my nails. Finally the women comes over and seats me and puts tips on my nails and then moves me to another place where I am waiting another 15-20 minutes waiting for someone. I told the lady that I have to leave for work very soon and I didn’t think it would take this long. The man who did my nails did a great job, but unfortunately I couldn’t do what I wanted because again I was there for 2 hours and I finally finished at 3:50 because I literally had to leave. I wouldn’t have minded if they were working on me for that long but like I was moved to 4 different people. I was clearly very frustrated and nobody honestly seemed to care, no sorry or nothing. If I am coming back I do really hope to be in and out as quickly as possible because this was insane!!

THE BEST nail salon in CT!! Ive been seeing them for over 15 years. Everyone is really good, they do designs, and it isn’t painful when you get a new set! They keep the place really clean too. I’m never leaving!!

A week later, and my gel manicure has peeled right off from every single finger
And the gel pedicure is soon to follow.
The only reason I pay extra for gel is that it lasts 2 weeks – sometimes more.
Not happy at all.
