This was my first time using Dimensions and I had a great experience. Warm, friendly, and down to earth. I felt like I was hanging out with friends. Stephen is an incredible barber and he did an excellent job on my fade! I got tons of compliments today and I’ll definitely be using Stephen again!

I have received haircuts from Dimensions for almost 2 years now and have been really satisfied. Specifically, I’ve enjoyed my time working with Stephen. To be frank, I’m a bit surprised at some of these poor reviews of Stephen, which look to be mostly written by young men (or their moms) who may be better suited for Sports Clips. However, I hope my experience will encourage some folks to pursue hair cuts at Dimensions.

In my experience, Stephen is a professional. Professionals are demanding, and they maintain high expectations from the customer. Working with Stephen is not a song-and-dance where you can flip through pictures before receiving your haircut… it is an agreement that you enter into with an understanding of what you want and how to express it. About every month, I receive a wash and cut that has me in and out the door in 20 minutes. He expects that I show up on time (5 minutes early), I know what I want, and I bring cash/check. I enter the agreement expecting a great haircut. Stephen is 20 for 20 in making that happen.

In addition, Stephen runs an entire business and a tight schedule, which I imagine demands him to be assertive regularly. Some may interpret this as “not caring” or “being rude,” but I view it as having high expectations and expressing himself when these expectations are not met. Are these excuses? Not necessarily… but I guess the point is to know what you’re getting into. For me, the monthly outcome is worth it every time. To each their own, but I will happily continue giving my business to Stephen and Dimensions as long as they’ll have me. Lastly, my wife also works with Trent at Dimensions and absolutely loves it.

Went there after making an appointment in their “appointment book” and showed up and they didn’t have it down. They got me into my haircut as soon as possible and the bad reviews about Stephen are true. He needs a serious attitude adjustment and humbling. He seems to not really care much about what I had to say about reference photos of mine and was stern. He ruined any kind of good mood and sure knows how to bring a frown to your face. He didn’t even clean his station before i sat down so the guys hair the went before me was all over the floor. Waste of money and time.

I had an AWFUL haircut experience from Steve a number of years ago and recently told a friend about it who suggested I write a review.

It was the worst haircut experience I have ever had: Steve skipped washing my hair (just wet it) and then halfway through the cut he took a call to discuss a pool party… so I sat through several minutes of a one-sided conversation about who was going to be there and what food and drinks he would bring. He clearly had more important things to do than finish the haircut. When Steve finally finished cutting my hair, he started to blow dry it but gave up and told me it would be better if my hair air dried. The haircut itself was incredibly mediocre. I mean, I would tolerate terrible customer service for a good haircut, but I didn’t get a good haircut. There’s no need to put up with that treatment. You’re better off going to one of Auburn’s other salons!

Steven did a great job with my haircut and has done so for nearly 20 years. Over the years, he has been constantly professional and patient with me as I changed how my hair was cut or looked for ideas when I was bored and wanted something new.
Steven is considerate of time of his customers, not making his them wait and allowing them to get out in an expected amount of time to go on with their day.
Sensitive to the situation, Steven talks when you want to talk, but allows quiet when you don’t.
In those 20 years, he has never given me a bad haircut, and I am happy to say that he has become a friend.
Thank you Steven
