They gave me a color that I did not pick. The color was very opaque and I couldn’t tell it wasn’t what I picked until several coats were applied. The shade was a few shades different but still I’m paying to get what I asked for! I just had her finish cause I wasn’t waiting for another hour to have them redo it. To make it even worse, it’s very poorly done. It looks like a child did it (Pictures taken right after) AND I wasn’t even given a discount for THEIR mistake. Won’t be coming here again!

I have been coming for gel manicure and pedicures for years. There was a lovely woman who moved back to MD and since then, what a difference. Weird, varied levels of poor service. A recent gel pedicure resulted in the tool used cutting me, Yesterday I went in to have two gel tips, ($18) and it truly appeared like the gentleman who I was assigned to was annoyed. I noticed another nail that I asked him to repair and he gave me a hard time. I understand a litttle bit of Korean as he commented to his bored, on her cell colleague, and I asked what he said( I knew the word..) he said “it’s ok I do it but you ask me late”. What late? It was on the opposite hand! They weren’t busy on a Tuesday afternoon around 2 pm. Obviously I said no don’t do it, and while he insisted, I maintained “no”. I tipped him, and said “thank you for doing me a favor.” I wonder if he understood my English as well as I understood the word he used about me.
Won’t be returning until Sarah comes back.

I happened to find Cozy Nails, wandering Old Saybrook yesterday while visiting friends. I opted for the green tea pedicure, which includes an extended foot massage and chair massage. Now I’ll be driving 8 hours round trip every week for this amazing service. Mark, who did my pedicure and reflexology-esque foot massage, is a gem, and the gentleman (i didn’t catch his name) who did the chair massage was sent by the angels. I woke up today, free from a lot of the annoying chronic stiffness that has been plaguing me for years.

Cozy also has some of the best massage pedicure chairs I’ve ever sat in, and their customers are superb as well.

10/10: the green tea pedicure is pricey, but worth every single penny. Going here while traveling will only improve your vacation. And if you are local, you are missing out.

I came here to remove gel and get a regular manicure. I think I would have been better off picking off the gel myself and going without a manicure, let’s put it that way. My nails are actually in worse condition now. I think she didn’t even get all of the prior gel off? I’m sorry; this was a terrible manicure.
