Bait and switch! We decided to get our son’s first haircut here based on reviews, despite the more than 30 minute drive. Sunday afternoon I called and specifically asked for the availability of either Ely or Denise based on reviews. I was told Denise had a 3:15, so I booked over the phone. We arrived at 3:05 and I was surprised when I provided our name and she said they were ready for us. They let us pick the cute fire engine and it worked as designed – the wheel kept my little one so entertained he didn’t even realize someone was cutting his hair! She asked how we wanted it cut and my husband walked her through it. About halfway through the cut I notice the script on her apron says Lina. We continued the haircut but I asked the receptionist why and how we ended up with someone other than Denise. She tells me that there wasn’t anyone specific noted for the appt. I reminded her that I had called and asked for 2 people specifically and she acted like she had no idea. I don’t understand how you can call, request someone, book with them and then get put with someone else. Now it wouldn’t be a huge deal except that the haircut was TERRIBLE! She said the only way to trim around his ears was with a razor, which I know isn’t true because I saw other stylists doing it with scissors! And then the awful job she did with the razor – UGH! It’s not even the same on both sides and just looks awful – to the point where in less then 24 hours, anyone we saw commented on what a terrible haircut he got. What a waste of $30.

Denise is absolutely amazing! I took my daughter for a haircut today and we could not be happier with how it turned out. Denise was very friendly, and she listened to exactly what my daughter was wanting. Her cut came out amazing and everyone absolutely loves it! My daughter is so happy with her hair. If you’re going to Cookie Cutters in Scottsdale make sure to ask for Denise!

So greatfull for cookie cutters and the excellent staff. My son can be difficult sometimes due to having autism. We had tried so many places and unable to have a good experience until we met Lina. My son for the first time he was smiling and not crying, she was AMAZING! I Highly recommend her to anyone looking for someone that loves kids and clearly loves what she does. Finally we found the right place for our son and for that we are grateful.
