I visited C&L Nails today because I was traveling in a couple days, I normally go to my personal nail tech but unfortuantely she had an emergency. So I picked C & L due to the review they had hoping for a relaxing manicure and pedicure. Unfortunately, my experience did not go as such

Firstly, the nail color I chose was not what I received. I opted for a neutral pink, but ended up with a reddish-orange shade that was sheer and not at all what I expected or wanted. This lack of attention to detail was disappointing, also, my nails were filed poorly and I had a very boxy appearance to my nails which I didn’t like. .

While at the salon, I noticed the professionalism was lacking. I observed staff members speaking negatively about customers in their language, which I found unprofessional and disrespectful, they would start speaking In their language immediately after a customer would say or do something. And, It made me uncomfortable and undermined the experience.

To add to the frustration, after paying $90 for a manicure and pedicure, I decided not to leave a tip due to my dissatisfaction. However, I was being pressured to tip, which left me feeling coerced and uncomfortable. I decided instead of feeling forced I would take a picture of the Venmo they listed so they would actually allow me to leave the salon. It’s unacceptable to force customers to tip when the service did not meet expectations.

I ultimately had to visit another salon (which I am not going to name ) to fix my manicure, where I received the service I originally expected from C&L. The contrast in professionalism and customer care was stark.

To make matters worse, I received a call from C&L while at the other nail salon. They called me to inform that they couldn’t close their shop until I sent the tip over. I’ve never experienced such pressure regarding tipping—it felt overly insistent and uncomfortable. While I typically tip generously for good service, being compelled to do so in this manner was quite unusual and unlike anything I have experienced before.

I have attached photos showcasing the color I originally selected (#155) and how it appeared on my nails, along with the boxy shaping of how my nails were filed. Additionally, I included a photo of the color correction done by the other salon to address this issue which made me so much more satisfied.

This experience has left me reluctant to return to C&L or recommend it to others seeking quality service and professionalism. I am not coming back since I do have my personal nail tech, but I hope this feedback encourages them to improve their service standards and ensure all customers receive the experience they deserve.

This place is the absolute best! I’ve been to C&L Nails a couple times for pedicures and they are always consistently amazing. Today I did a pedicure, gel manicure, and had my eyebrows waxed. When I say everything came out perfect, I mean it!!! I’m very picky about how my nails look, and they are flawless! To add, I grew up in Brooklyn and nail salons always gave a complimentary shoulder massage while you waited for your nails to dry. This is the only place I’ve been to in NJ that offers the same service – it’s so nice!!! All of the staff there are professional, kind, and will take great care of you. Can’t recommend this place enough 🙂

I’ve gotten a full set done here a few times and brought my nieces for normal manicures. My nails always turn out super well done and they’re patient with all of the requests I have!

The workers were very nice, and the price was cheap, but my builder gel manicure did not last even a week before the nails started coming off. They used cheap Chinese products.

My new favorite nail salon. I’ve been to several in the Robbinsville/Hamilton area. I’ve experienced things like less than sanitary conditions to being treated rudely. Not at C & L.
