Im so sorry for the long review…
I’m giving it two because although it’s my go to place to book with DK, Lee or Li… I cried honestly because I have been trying to grow my nails back healthy and long and a lot of mistreatment from doing dips. I don’t speak up but today was supposed to be an after work chill experience for me and my nails are messed up now. The tech Anna, asked if I wanted to cut my real nails short or shaped and I said no because I wanted to maintain the roundness they had and grow them longer. She then proceeded to file down my left nails flat and uneven. So I made sure to tell her I wanted to keep them round. And she went ahead and filed them horribly “round” as you can see by my thumbs. And they are so rough and ridged like sharp tiny teeth around my nails even a piece under my nail was just hanging. The peeling im not sure what product was applied but it does not look pretty for my anniversary…
Seven she finished the top coat she mumbled something, grabbed her things and left. Not telling me my nails need to air dry or I could go the a lamp to sit and let them dry so I proceeded to fan my hands and blow on them myself. Then both of my thumbs messed up and had to be redone and she didn’t reapply the base coat so let’s hope my nails aren’t stained… and I tried my best to make sure to be careful on my move to not mess them up and 30 minutes later as you can see, my nail polish lifted on my thumb..
I learned my mistake I of doing a walk in and will remember to do that for next time…

I’ve made the mistake of giving this place chance after chance due to the convenience of the location to me, and the esthetic of the location. But the quality of the service has not been good. I came here for the last time last week and got tip with dip and I kid you not the next day, my nails were cracked underneath whatever the top coat is called. Five nails cracked within the time I left the salon at 5:30PM and noon the next day how on earth does this even happen. I’ve had it with this place and their high prices that don’t match up with the service received.

I have been coming to Ciel for years and absolutely love everything that Valerie and Long do. Valerie is my go to for dip – she is meticulous AND quick! I hate nail appointments that take too long and I am in/out with her in less than 45 min.

Now onto Long, fantastic pedicures and he gives the best massages. Definitely ask for Long when your feet need some extra TLC.

I am working across the street for the week and decided to go during lunch time. I checked the prices online and went for the acrylic set which is what I originally get back home and was listed as $45 which was very reasonable. So I get there and they tell me it is $55. Ok cool. I was really thirsty the entire time and wasn’t offered a drink. I looked around and saw no one had drinks. So maybe they didn’t offer complimentary. By the time I checked out they charged me an additional $5 for gel service …. So essentially I paid $60 total for something I normally pay $45 including the shellac coating they always do on top. And I was left with a lot of extra acrylic on my nails. I asked if they could remove it but hand picking at it was taking too long and I had to get back to a meeting. Overall, I don’t think I should have paid $60 plus tip 🙃.

Got nails done last week. Not even a week and three of my nails already have color chipping away. I have gotten gel nails numerous times and none budge until nails grow out. Not sure what quality of gel polish they use or the process, but something is a mess here. My mom had similar experience and now I am having same chipping issue!
When you pay such hefty amount, you expect the color to stay put, which is the entire purpose of getting gel polish done!

Very disappointing experience here!
Will be looking for an alternative nail salon!
