I do NOT recommend this place. Especially after the new manager. I was applying for work here, i did everything (filled out needed applications, etc) and then, the manager said there were IT problems, scheduling, etc. But I was hired, but couldn’t work, he told me to come but when I did, there was a scheduling problem, (this shouldn’t be a problem if you know what you’re doing, and you should be experienced before becoming a manager.) So then I came again the next day for my first shift, but unfortunately, he told me there was a problem again. I then realized he didn’t want to hire me, but why make a such a big problem out of it and make me wait for so long? He even told me to check if I got a mail, but when I told him no, he went through my phone (I gave him permission for the Gmail ONLY) BUT he went to my other apps.(I checked my phone after.) Not only that, he even spent SO MUCH time on my phone, why check and scroll through it for so long after I told him I don’t have the email from Burlington. I felt uncomfortable asking my phone back, he shouldn’t have went too deep with it, because it’s MY privacy. He even asked for my passcode. This is out of hand. The manager has no rights to go through my phone at all. Not only that, but when my brother came to pick me up because I was waiting SO LONG for a “call to approve me to work” even though I was hired. So it shouldn’t be a problem. But then he started questioning me “is he your spouse?” Like this has nothing to do with what we’re doing. He even refused to answer my brothers question “is she hired? What’s going on?” Then he asked again, but then he replied “it was an IT problem.” “Me and your sister discussed about this, she knows.” Nothing was done or said against the new manager for such horrible management, communication, and problem-solving.

Burlington should act with the manager they have PRESTON is a crazy psychopath he tells you that he hires you he makes you fill out all the necessary documents he wastes your time and then he says that your workplace has already been occupied… DO NOT APPLY FOR THAT BURLINGTON THAT MAN IS A ABUSIVE PSYCHOPATH I’m reading some reviews and not only did it happen to me, there are several people who talk about him… Burlington be careful with his manager PRESTON is a crazy psychopath 🆘🆘🆘🆘

Update – I’m pleased to report the smell was corrected on my most recent visit.

Great prices! Unfortunately I think there is a dead animal somewhere in the store or in the cooling system; the entire store smells so bad! I would suggest that corporate get this issue fixed asap.

I will say, this is a great place to get socks, get nicely discounted cookware, gloves, blankets, and just random items. Though at this store, the lines are usually long, 1 cashier usually, the right side of the store smells like a dried fish over by the purses. Do not eat the snacks or food that they have here.

Manager PRESTON who should not have the title of manager is an unprofessional person, disgust of person. I applied to work and filled out all the necessary documents. He gave me work schedules and everthing then on my first day of my job with an arrogant attitude he sent another employee to tell me that my place was already taken he is a disgusting person. I hope Burlington takes steps to hire those types of people. UNPROFESSIONAL
