My husband and I have been long time customers of Ocean Star and have always had a great experience. I set up an appointment for a couples massage this past weekend, and when we got to the spa, we were told we had to wait 10 minutes because they were running behind. We had no problem waiting 10 minutes, however, when the 10 minutes were up, we heard the massage therapist talking to their current client who was complaining about not getting the 90 minutes they booked. We were then told we would have to wait another 30 minutes so that this woman could have her full 90 minute massage. We chose not to wait the extra 30 minutes and rescheduled the appointment for later in the day. We came back in the evening and were seen right away. The massage itself was okay, but the therapists during the massage were very chaotic and it did not lend itself to a very relaxing environment. The music program they use has commercials in it, which is not necessarily a problem with us, but every time a commercial came on, my massage therapist would stop what she was doing and try to get the commercial to skip. There was also no one at the front desk, so when the door opened, they stopped the massages again to go greet people at the door. My massage was interrupted at least 4 times with distractions from the music or other clients. Once the massage was over, we were told we could not pay with a credit card and we had to use the ATM in order to get cash out to pay. Apparently the credit card system was not set up, but we were never told that before the appointment, because had we known, we would have made sure to have enough cash on hand for our couples massage. We used the ATM but were charged large fees from both the ATM and our bank in order to withdraw money. We were given a “discount” on the price because of the mixup with the time earlier in the day, however, after being charged the ATM and bank fee, we did not get any sort of actual discount. Overall, I can no longer recommend this spa. The new management is really doing a disservice to all of their past clients and it is really sad to see.

My wife and I have been coming to this spa for the last 3 years and have always enjoyed their service and customer service. We celebrated our 1 year wedding anniversary this weekend and to celebrate the occasion I booked a 2 hours couples massage. After I took my Wife to watch a movie we began to head to our massage not even 10 minutes in they called my wife and canceled our 2 hour massage and told her they over booked. Not knowing about the surprise massage my wife was shocked and surprised. I then called back said how I wasn’t a fan how they treated the situation and how we booked this online 2 weeks ago. They tried to remedy the situation by moving us to the following day or weekend but due to our jobs and family life that wasn’t possible, and I stated that. All of a sudden our time block for a 2 hour couples massage became open and doable and they weren’t over booked anymore. That didn’t sit right with me because why would you cancel if you could have done something I have scheduled weeks ago. I’m sure this was a simple computer error from their online booking system and I hope it is because our service there in the past was amazing. I’m just not happy how they called my wife ruined a surprise gift and then put a damper in our plans to have a nice relaxing anniversary together. For those who want to book an experience with them o recommend you call because there online system sucks .

This place is about 30 minutes away from where I live and I was hoping it was worth the travel and it absolutely was! The massage I got was from the owner Amy and she was beyond knowledgeable in her craft. I told her what I wanted but she knew what I needed and gave me the massage I so desperately needed. It’s not often people care enough to tell you what you need over what you want. I’m walking away from this establishment feeling refreshed and most of all pain free!

This place is amazing! My husband and I got a gift for our wedding and we enjoyed it so much we went back! The prices are wonderful and so is the staff there! Love it 😍
