The pedicure was very disappointing. I started coming here 5 years ago because they were thorough, careful and gentle. Not any more it seems.

The bikini wax girl was good though, I would book her again.

I came here for a facial treatment with Miley. She is super kind and so lovely. She is also very experienced and knew how to navigate my skin. She was able to deeply clean my skin and also gave me great tips on what I can do at home to keep the glow.

I booked a pedicure and waxing service. For upper lip, she waxed over the same place 3 times, which caused irritation on my skin (the first strip didn’t do anything so she had to repeat, which has never happened to me). Also, I booked an eyebrow service “cleaning and shaping” as described by Treatwell, but only waxing and cleaning was done. When explaining that I was hoping for shaping (updating the shape of my eyebrow to match my face), I was told that’s a different service and she was dismissive about it. The pedicure was quite thorough, which was good, but the shape was not nice. She didn’t ask what shape I wanted. So all in all, disappointing.

Decided to get my nails done while visiting Berlin. Beauty Moments had high ratings on Treatwell, their preferred booking site. Paid for the manicure online prior to my appointment.

The space is small but clean and welcoming. Not everyone spoke English, but my manicurist could ask me the typical questions and blessedly did not attempt small talk. Shellac/UV gel colors are a little more limited compared to what I usually see at home in NYC, but was able to find a pretty peach-toned nude after the manicurist couldn’t do a milky white look. The entire session took about an hour, and I really appreciate the time she took to clean up my cuticles (my hands were a mess).

It’s been over a week and my nails still look great!
