Extremely painful experience 💔 My nails are still hurting from when they were drilled down to the nail bed over 2 months ago for a gel manicure

You can see from the pictures they applied over 7 coats of gel. I have never seen this before. I told the nail tech the color I chose did not look like the color I received after she tested it on 1 nail. I asked for a white base coat & the nail tech told me I would like it with multiple coats & she wouldn’t do the white base coat. What I ended up with was not what I envisioned & not what I asked for.

I went to a different nail salon to get these nails removed & the technician was shocked at how red & over-exposed my nail bed was. They were very confused why my nails were so poorly shaped, painted, but still extremely thick & still chipping, broken, and weak. Their explanation was over drilling & filing my nails.

8-10 of my nails were broken within 2 days of leaving the salon. I called back to ask if I could talk to a manager to see what could be done to remedy the issue. She said I would need to pay for dip powder to “fix” the issue. I did not go back to pay an additional full price fee to fix a problem that will now take months to fix & heal

Very sad first experience at a nail salon I was looking forward to making my regular spot 👎🏽 I am exhausted over-advocating for myself at nail salons, having to turn down up-sales multiple times, and walking out wishing I would have stayed home & done my nails myself

Went in for an eyebrow wax a few weeks ago, came out looking as if I had never even went in. Left picture shows immediately after in which there were a ton of hairs un-waxed and still remained. I was also shocked when the lady who did my wax didn’t cleanse my eyebrows with alcohol before hand, dipped the wax stick into the hot wax and continued to use the same stick in the wax on my unsanitary skin. It was like being in the back of a dark alley and it was extremely dim- no wonder she couldn’t see how much hair she missed. She didn’t go over it with tweezers or trim the brows with scissors like most places do and she probably spent a total of two minutes doing them. Not only this but the wax was so hot it left a burn mark almost on my eyelid because she laid the wax down so close to my eye. You can see in the second picture what it looked like after I came home, plucked out the parts that were missed, and washed my face. I used to get my nails done here but stopped coming because of how rushed they are. I’ve had multiple times where I would come in for a pedicure and be done in fifteen minutes. Never had a problem with the waxing services until now.

I am visiting from Indiana and instead of getting my nails done before I left, I decided to wait and go with my sister. Don did an amazing job on my nails. I showed him a photo and asked if he could do something close to it and he said no problem. He wasn’t lying, they look amazing!!! Everyone was friendly, the salon was very clean, and the prices were great!! If you live in or visit the Lakewood, CO area, I highly recommend you visit Don at Bear Creek Nails.

Kimlan does a fantastic job! We’ve been going to Bear Creek Nails for years and are always satisfied with the finished product. My daughter gets manicures with nail art and I switch between acrylic and natural nails. The salon is clean and the women are friendly and kind.

The entire team is great!
– Don did a natural looking acrylic set that grew out seamlessly (50 days of wear!) I file at home to make them last, but his experience really shows in the longevity of his nails. Prices are more than fair in this economy. Remember to bring cash for tipping 💕👌
