I won’t be returning to this establishment. The Sangamore shop looks worn and could use a refresh. My technician provided poor service: she was rough in removing gel extensions (applied elsewhere) and in performing waxing services; my waxed eyebrows look patchy; and the technician’s station was not particularly clean.
Prices at this shop are higher than I’ve encountered elsewhere and there is a surcharge for paying by credit card.

In the past aqua nails has been absolutely fabulous. But we just went for a mani pedi and they did a really terrible job. Feet were not really scrubbed well, gel nails lasted only a week, and nails were not really cleaned as well as what we are used to from aqua nails. And the price has gone up! We were a group of 4 and paid almost $400. What?

I went to get a gel tip manicure and regular pedicure last month and I plaid 140$ not even including tip. Absolutely ridiculous. Where else in the world is getting white nail polish on your toes 40?? I used to love this place but hadn’t been since in years until this recent trip and the expense was atrocious. Will not be ever going back.

I struggled with this rating as there were both positives and negatives. We were walk-ins for two pedicures on a Sunday and were seen almost immediately (a positive). Also on the positive side, my husband was pleased with his experience. My overall result was good (nails looked nice), but I was dismayed at the cost ($47 per pedicure, not including tip) as well as the fact that I was charged a non-cash adjustment of $2.82. I asked about it and was told it was a credit card fee, passing it to the customer has been their policy since 2023, and that there was a sign at the desk (which I did not see). Personally, I don’t care for fees being passed on to me (I’m more amenable to splitting it with a business rather than taking the entire cost, if I have to do it at all).

Here is the timeline for my pedicure:

5:25 service began
5:34 started massage
5:37 started other leg
5:39 finished left leg massage
5:42 started color
5:49 done
24 minutes

I’m old school and remember when pedicures were almost an hour, so this was disappointing to me. That said, the technicians were professional and we were not pressured for any upcharge service so that was nice.

Bottom line: Expensive. If money is not a concern for you then this is an adequate salon.

Truly don’t understand the high ratings. The manicures are so-so, the pedicures uninspired, the service nonexistent. The prices are ok but above the level the service would suggest.

Might give more than a star if they didn’t consistently ignore requests and instructions. Either their English is that bad or they just don’t care. But when I say, don’t do that, you’re hurting me, and you continue until I’m actively bleeding, expect a bad review. At the least.
