The acrylics are good here. They do a really good job with it. My main issue is how inconsistent and expensive the prices are for a place on University Way. Majority of their business is college students yet they charge prices like $103 (tip not included)! This was literally for a french FILL!! The first time I went here it ended up being 75$ for a fill. If it costs over $25 dollars just for a french design it is ridiculous. These gigantic price changes are suspicious in my opinion. Also, the acrylics are not very durable. I just got my second set with them on January 4th and not even 2 weeks later (it’s January 15th) one of my nails broke. I can’t argue the fact that they do a beautiful job with nails though and the guy does a much better job than the other ladies that work there. The second time I went, one of the ladies was treating my nails with complete disregard and ripped a lot of my natural nail off on one of the fingers. I recommend this place nonetheless because I did have a fantastic experience with the man who works there and to be honest I have very large doubts if there is any nail place in the area that could do better, unfortunately.

Revision: Just recently went to them and received really good service and really good nails. I paid about $95 overall for a fresh new set. Still confused about the inconsistency of their prices, I’ll just avoid getting French design with them because of how much extra they charge for it. I’ve changed my rating to 4 stars after this experience.

Yesterday, They charged me 70$ for acrylic full set. They start at 55$ depending on the length. I didn’t even get them that long. They shouldn’t have charged me that much. And to make it worse, one of the nails is crooked. I tried talking to the girl that was doing my nails, she was in a grey sweat outfit, but she pretended she didn’t even know English. She ignored me. I’m definitely not going back. The other lady that was there seemed really nice, super chatty. I wish I would’ve gotten her. Oh well, lesson learned.

I’ve tried a lot of nails salons in Seattle, Sunny Island is by far the best. Not only is the staff friendly, great with shaping and designs, but they are efficient. So many places will tell you to come in while they are busy, and you end up waiting so long, not here. They will make sure to get you in and out without having you sitting around waiting.

I would have given them a five-star because the man that did my nails did them perfectly, I love them very, very much! Honestly, that is the only reason I will go back.the reason I gave them three stars is because the woman that did my toes, as you can see in the picture, she cut my big toe and it hurts extremely bad still today and I got them done two days ago as well as cut skin off of my other toe as you can see in the picture I’m pointing to them.
