Sway Salon and Extensions

I read all the reviews for all the hair salons that Google pulled up and decided to try sway salon. I’ve tried four other salons and never was really satisfied with how my hair turned out! I dyed my own hair maybe about three weeks before and was not happy with the color at all it just didn’t fit Me it was a dark mahogany color that was very reddish and I was wanting to go dirty blonde with blonde highlights. When I sat in the chair and showed Tiffany the picture of the hair color I wanted she was very knowledgeable and I could tell she had a lot of experience. She told me it wouldn’t be easy but she felt very confident she could pull it off! She is very sweet and gifted with hair, when I was done and looked at my hair I was so impressed and so very very happy!! She did an outstanding job and her assistant Brooke who also does hair who assisted her did an outstanding job as well I would highly highly suggest sway salon! I know I’ve found my permanent hair stylist for now on. It’s so nice after trying so many other salons in Biloxi Gulfport and diberville to have finally found Tiffany at sway salon! If you need your hair highlighted or colored she is your girl just bring a picture and she will work her magic!!!

Tiffany is amazing , she has been doing my hair for over 20 years now. Very professional and really takes the time with her clients in making sure they leave happy. Tiffany is very informative and advises me if we can’t reach our goal as it could damage my hair, but gives me options. I only trust Tiffany with my hair for a Keratin treatment, which she recommends once a year .

Tiffany was very nice and polite, but I think this salon doesn’t have a ton of experience cutting short curly bobs. My hair’s pretty short, uneven, and has no layers now… I’m just gonna get it fixed elsewhere because there’s not too much left to work with oTL.

I was issued a refund, so great customer service and no complaints there.

My mom ( Tiffany ) does an excellent job listening to the clients and doing their hair just how they love it. I have never seen a client leave unhappy, which is why i let her do my hair. She gave me a gorgeous highlights and does a very good job! Brooke is also a very good stylist she has curled and done many blow outs on me for programs and plays for school! A very good salon in general!

Very unprofessional. I set up an appointment online about a week before my scheduled appointment for which the owner/stylist called the day of to request that I switch to a different day/time due to an error in her online booking time slots.

She also stated she was out of the items she needed, so said it would be a week or so before she could do my hair. In hindsight, I truly believe she simply does not normally do my style extensions and honestly did not have the expertise or knowledge to install them though she claimed she did. Throughout the process, she gave me several reasons for believing this.

First off I should have seen it as a major red flag when the girl who was working with her pointed out to my stylist with such surprise that I had no damage from the previous installments of my extensions. Then there was an excessive amount of tugging/ripping my hair out as she (the owner) applied my extensions. I have never had to tell a stylist this as they were installing extensions. I let it fly the first couple times, but then politely said something. She was a bit gentler, but this continued the whole time. I was extremely worried about how bad this was for my hair. But I was too far in to stop really. I have a very high pain tolerance and have had my extensions done with multiple different well renowned stylists. I have never had anything like this happen. Then the owner/stylist asked me who the person was that did my extensions before and asked if he would maybe be willing to do an instructional tutorial on “his technique”. More red flags. Again, I was wayyy too far in at this point to call a stop to this. Seriously, we were halfway through my extensions being installed, so I just didn’t know what to do at this point aside from to go on to note for others this horrible experience to spare them and to of course never come back.

As if all this wasn’t bad enough,the owner/stylist was training another stylist on how to do extensions as she installed my extensions and she then passed me off to her trainee to do part of my hair a little over halfway through without even asking if I was okay with that. I was in utter disbelief at this point.

It has now been several months since this terrible experience and when my new stylist went to remove the extensions, she was in awe of the utter mess that this stylist had created with the clearly untrained, inexperienced installment she performed. This caused a lot of damage to my hair and I have never had any real damage caused by extensions previously.

BEWARE. Do not go here, this was the owner that did this, clearly someone claiming she is able to perform work that she is not trained on and should not be claiming she is. Simply immoral.
