I went to this shop and loved the people and the welcoming feeling. I live in Kansas and have to come to Phoenix monthly for my Dad. It’s boot season here. I have to get a pedicure when I get there so I can wear sandals etc. My visit to Modern Nails made a stressful visit relaxing and ready for Phoenix weather. See you soon Modern Nails!😍

HORRIBLE HORRIBLE!!! I did a pedicure and a dip manicure. When I asked the lady to massage me a little harder she got so offended and said she wouldn’t and that was the best she could do. But I was paying for a massage with my pedicure and she did not want to give me a massage. She was just petting me before I asked her to press harder, very unfair. She also recommended I go to a separate massage spa if I was looking for a better massage. Her reaction to me asking her if she can press a little harder was very disrespectful. when I asked the lady that was doing my manicure to file my nails a little bit more she got argumentative and said I wanted more coats and that if they break it’s not her fault. They were both very disrespectful. This place does not have a good customer service. They did not know how to handle and react to the situation accordingly.

I want to like this place so much but almost every time they are running over 15 mins late, are too aggressive with nipping my cuticles and have made me bleed multiple times, the hand massage sometimes happens and always after the polish, which is odd and the final straw was when an employee ate corn on the cob in the massager chair barefoot. I wish I was making it up. 🌽

Sheila is absolutely incredible. I had tried many nail salons before and was never consistent with getting my nails done as I never liked the results. I now get my dip done every month because Sheila kills it every time! She’s helped my natural nails grow to a healthy length, shapes them perfectly, and ensures the dip is long-lasting every time. I always ask her to help me decide on colors and I’m never disappointed. Pro tip: She also makes her own dip colors – try Sheila #2 for the perfect pinkish white. I’ve gotten so many compliments on that one. Sheila also has such a great personality and sense of humor which makes every visit so enjoyable.
