I went to get my nails done on Saturday 9/7 as a treat to myself that was well needed. During my visit I asked for a full set which is usually known and intended as acrylics. Time goes by as the lady is prepping my nails I realize she uses a base coat which I thought was weird but decided not to say anything and to let her continue. She then brings out builder gel and I say is that gel or acrylic and she says gel. I did not ask for this but did not want to make her restart. This was an extra $20 by the way. After that it was just the little things, shaping was off (pinky nail was about a 90 degree angle to the left) I felt my service was being rushed. The filing HURT so bad she was so heavy handed for no reason and the massage part of my pedicure sucked but that doesn’t really matter in grand scheme.
It is now Wednesday 9/12 and 4 nails have popped off and 2 are lifting. I will insert pictures to show. I am beyond annoyed I spent $60 on these nails that I didn’t even want in the first place. If gel is supposed to “last me longer” why does acrylic last me a month and after and with gel 4 days later I have 4.5 nails left on my hand. I had called explaining my situation hoping to get my money back because this is ridiculous and unfortunately they aren’t able to make that happen!! I feel like a 5 year old did my nails. Not the first time I’ve left unhappy here either. Don’t go here

I just visited this salon last Thursday, June 27, 2024. I needed to have my previous acrylic removed because it was old and I wanted a new full set before leaving for vacation. I was encouraged to try a gel instead of acrylic which I agreed to. Four days later the first nail cracked mid nail, the following day a second cracked mid nail and this morning when I woke up a third nail was cracked again, mid nail. Today is July 3, 2024 and this is what my nails look like. These nails are not even a week old. One nail isn’t even fully covered with the gel. I’m extremely upset with this nail job.

I’ve been going to VIP in Woodbury Heights for about a year and a half now that’s bc my nail tech Tony Rocks!!!!! I’ve been going to Tony for about 7 years now though. Ive never had a nail break, chip, or lift. The onlytime I had to get a new set was during covid! He is the best of the best.

She took her time and didn’t rush, ensuring everything was done perfectly. The end result was fabulous—my nails look amazing!
