From the stars its obvious I love my stylist here-she’s personable, a good listener, and an amazing artist. I’d give Taj 10 stars. But I’m moved to review because this salon is so warm, wonderful, and welcoming without pretension. These are genuinely good people providing excellent service. Even the other customers are fantastic! Highly recommend.

Jewel made my dreams come true to a level that I could have never imagined! I came with a screenshot of a faux hawk meets 50’s updo as an idea and Jewel took it and ran with it. It made for a unique and stylish look for my wedding day and went perfectly with the suit I wore. I’ve never felt so “myself” and comfortable in all of my life. I received so many compliments on my hair and true to her word, it lasted the test of time thru the whole night.
The salon itself was so welcoming and hospitable. I am so glad to have found Mariposa and Jewel.

What a fabulous salon to walk into. Everyone there is friendly. The place is always clean. My hair stylist and colorist, Jewel, is a jewel. She gave me one of the best short haircuts ever. I feel lucky.

By far the best salon in NOLA. Go to Taj–she will transform you from the outside in. I had another colorist at a different salon do a terrible job and when I went to Taj she truly understood what I needed and wanted and did something even better than I could have imagined. The salon is clean, cute, crisp, and they offer snacks and drinks for free. It is a bit pricey (my partial was 315) but it was cheaper than the bad salon I went to and 10000% worth every penny. YOU NEED MARIPOSA IN YOUR LIFE!!!!

This is such a great salon! I saw Kristen P. And was looking to get a light balayage and a cut. She did an amazing job my color was amazing and she was super friendly and nice. Please see the photos attached she did such a wonderful job! Best balayage I have ever gotten.
