I went and got a gel pedicure yesterday evening. When I got home I noticed how horrible of a job the nail technician did with painting my nails. She missed so much of my nail they look like they grew out already. I definitely do not recommend going to this salon and it’s definitely not worth the money I paid for them. This is also not the first time that this happened to me at this salon.

Called in the afternoon to set up an appointment to get a set of acrylics removed. I was asked if the set I had was from another salon (I thought this was an odd question) and I stated yes. Whether or not they charged extra, I’m unsure. They were able to schedule me in last minute and I opted in to their express manicure with a clear coat. I’ve had sets removed in the past and the technician would rush through the removal process and my nails are left sore. The tech was very attentive while removing my acrylic nails and didn’t hurt my nails. The express manicure was a plus to add on and he left my nails looking great. For the removal and the manicure it came out to $30. With the time the tech took to care for my nails, I may be coming back to get a new set!

(Review has been removed 4x!) Please save your money and sanity. I used to be a regular here but will absolutely never be coming back here. I made an appointment a month and a half in advance since I wanted to get an acrylic gel fill, pedicure, and eyebrow wax before seeing my LDR boyfriend … I had previously asked if I could just pay for a pedicure add on instead of the $50+ I would spend for a bunch of stuff I wouldn’t need nor want. I was told that wasn’t possible which should have been my first sign. The last two times I have been here my GEL nail polish has chipped. The whole reason people pay the extra money for gel is so that that doesn’t happen. My appointment was at 11 I stated I had an emergency appt pop up for 2 and that I didn’t need the extra stuff for the pedicure but would pay for it mainly for the callus remover but not to bother with the other stuff to save time. They accommodated that and promptly sat me down for my gel fill after that. If you don’t like feeling you are a burden to a professional that you are paying for a service don’t come here 🥲 My nails had some marks underneath the gel and whenever I brought that up I could tell the demeanor of the techs would change. I’m someone who already struggles with putting my foot down with stuff like this and I always do it in a respectful way so to feel like I am the “problem” when I just want what I am paying for is not okay. When I finished with my pedicure and gel fill around 1:10 I was told that they couldn’t wax my eyebrows because I guess the only person that could do it had just started a pedicure??? I told them it wouldn’t take very long but I could also wait for a bit since my appt was at sentara down the road. I was told to just pay and come back. Angela checked me out (she was very kind) and told me to just pay for the eyebrow waxing now along with the other stuff and they could fit me in at 3:30 … okay. I wasn’t thrilled by that but that was better than nothing. I paid and left and when I sent a picture of my nails to some people they pointed out there were lines running through the polish and more of the hard “bubbles” under some of my nails that were harder to see initially but could definitely feel and see in the sunlight. I immediately called Angela back and she said to now come in at 5 to fix my nails and get my eyebrows done. This further pushed my plans back that I had later in the day but still, I agreed. I received a text around 1:50 saying “if you want to come in at 4:45 we can get you in a little earlier for your eyebrow wax.” Nowhere does it say if I don’t come in at that time I forfeit my eyebrow waxing??? I ended up arriving at my appt time at 5 and was told by the owner I believe that “if I had been here at 4:45 they could have done it but since I am now here at 5 (my appointment time!!!) that I probably couldn’t do it. To say I was upset would be an understatement. She ended up coming over to examine my nails and ask what was wrong and I explained the bumps and the streaks and asked if they could just put a third coat on since I only had 2, it was a light color, and there was a problem the last two times with chipping. The owner (or whoever she was I apologize I didn’t get a name) fought me on it the entire time saying they wouldn’t do another coat and wouldn’t even fix the other nails because she supposedly couldn’t see what I was talking about. After back and forth for I don’t know how long I just said fine. I seriously do NOT have time for this, my appointment that I made over a month in advance was at 11 and it is now 5:15 let’s just get this over with and just refund me for the eyebrows … she really said I didn’t pay for those either. Angela told me before I left to just pay for them so it would be easier, the other woman pulled up the computer with my $144+ receipt and told me I didn’t pay for it. (There’s more but character limit on post 💔) I asked her to call Angela multiple times and she refused. The next day my nails chipped and my middle finger nail completely broke off. Save your money and go somewhere else!

Lucy was amazing, she was very gentle and attentive! Got an acrylic fill with gel polish — one of the best sets I’ve had.

Such a scam and waste of money! Charge $80+ for a set that I only had on for less than a few days and already had 2 nails start to peel/fall off. They only fixed one finger and told me I’d “have to pay to get the rest fixed” next time.. Their prices do not reflect their quality of work at all. It has only been a week and about 5 nails have now peeled off. If I’m paying this much for a set I should not have my nails breaking/falling off this quickly. Don’t recommend at all.. go somewhere else and save your $..
