Spiritual Fit Chick
Honestly, I had really high hopes for this place after all the recommendations, and was excited to learn about a lower tox option. I’m never one to take time out of my day to review a company, but my entire experience here has been awful. The evening of getting my $90 manicure (including 30 to take off my sns) my polish was chipping off. It’s hard enough to take time out to get your nails done to begin with much less to run back everytime there is an issue. So I just filed it down. The next day. Another nail. Every day another chip and I’m not doing anything even remotely “rough” on my nails. There was also some ugly weird texture on a few of my nails that when I asked about the girl replied would go away after the oil. It didn’t and it looked awful. But the biggest issue was when I called to ask about simply getting a refund, because at this point I have no interest in getting the same product applied to my nails when it’s clearly not holding up and I definitely don’t want to have to pay eight dollars extra to see if I get a little bit more strength from the “extra protection” add on product. It should hold up as is. When i called, The woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude. She cut me off every time I started to speak and not once did I get a chance to finish my sentence. I was trying to explain to her from the beginning I didn’t want to repair, I’d like to ask about getting a refund for something that did not hold up. Again, no interest in Trying to carve out a few hours of my busy week to come and get them repaired. She just kept cutting me off, first blaming my “weak and damaged nails” for the issue when not once did my actual nails break, saying she could fix them and I could pay extra for an extra topcoat etc. After being cut off numerous times I finally got in ” I’d really just like to ask about getting a refund because I don’t think this is going to work for me.” I took pictures from the first night so that they would have the date on them and could have easily sent them had she asked. But After the 10th time of being cut off and rudely told they could fix it rather than her asking for pictures or honoring the fact that I’m extremely frustrated with the whole situation at this point, she just says I can’t offer you a refund without seeing your nails and “our policy is to fix the problem and troubleshoot”. I said great I have pictures. She then started in circles again saying they could fix them and by that point I felt like I’d wasted even more of my time so I just said “you know what. Just forget it. I’ll go somewhere else to take care of this” and she said “ok that’s fine” and hung up.

It’s just insane to me that businesses treat customers like this. I’ve owned companies for 15 years and have never treated a customer like this over anything, much less a faulty job or product. It’s not that getting $90 Back was that big of a deal, it was more the principle of how bad the job and product was that warranted my calling. A simple “sorry we can’t offer that resolution” would have been perfectly fine.

I understand the policy is to fix, but places like this should also understand that once someone’s invested their time and money in a service that the very same day started to fall apart, they’re not interested in spending more time or money to get the issue fixed with the same place. Had whoever answered the phone been even remotely respectful, curious or professional about the whole situation I may have considered trying to remedy the situation, but being spoken to like that was enough to make me never want to step foot back in the place.

Edited to reply to owner’s response. I didn’t mention a refund until “the end of the convo” because as stated throughout this review You didn’t let me finish my sentence one time to get to that point. You kept cutting me off to come get them fixed when I knew I wouldn’t have the time to do so. I also stated I had photos of each day and the progression of the chipping, and the photo of the first few days are IN My review.

First time going, absolutely loved it!! I got there early to the appointment, was offered sparkling water with pomegranate, and my nail tech for my pedicure was outstanding. The staff was very knowledgeable and the playlist they have is 10/10! Will definitely recommend to my friends and family that live in the area 😊

I wanted to have some “me time” during my break between Summer and Fall semester of graduate school. I am a very organic & green person. I dislike the idea of sitting in a chemical smell environment. No fumes for me! Paint Nail Bar is not only beautifully decorated, the air smells clean & the staff goes over and above to make customer’s happy! I did the lickety split mani/pedi and Grace did a wonderful job! She’s a sweet girl. I enjoyed my little self care break. I highly recommend this nail bar.

I have been here a few times and every time it has been disappointing. Most of the times I go they stay my service late with no apology. Online the service is very different than what you get in person. For example they say you get a massage and both times I went that didn’t happen. This past time I booked my appointment months in advance because I am going on a vacation they called me 4 hours before my appointment saying they need to cancel my appointment because of a scheduling error. They never apologized and felt no remorse. I would not recommend going here bad customer service and nails are just ok.

Repeatedly the worst customer service. Attended the salon for the first time a few months ago, my manicure was fine, but the service was horrible. Was rudely welcomed into the establishment (woman at the front seemed extremely bothered by my presence). It was then unclear who was servicing me. I was paired with a woman who chose to use our time talking poorly about her colleagues and sharing drama. Talk about a toxic work environment. Went for what was supposed to be a relaxing treat but ended up having to be listen to drama/complaining from the stylist for an hour… not sure why anyone would want to pay for that.

I recently decided to give the salon another chance. I went in on a Sunday because I was in the area and planned to schedule a service for later in the week. Again, the woman at the front was extremely rude: did not smile, was short with me. I asked what options were available for men and she said “see the sheet”…. very unhelpful and frankly rude. I mentioned a few services of interest and proceeded to book an appointment. It was unclear, she was vague regarding what services she actually booked for me and did not tell me if/when I would be receiving confirmation of the appointment. She didn’t even tell me to have a nice day or see you soon, nothing!

They the day of the appointment, I still had not received any confirmation communication, so I assumed it was improperly booked. Then 15minutes after the scheduled appointment I received 2 missed calls from a CLT number, no voicemail. Then I received a text from the salon saying I missed my appointment and that it falls within their cancellation policy and I would be charged the full price of the service and 20% gratuity. Honestly ridiculous considering they called 15 minutes after the scheduled appointment to confirm and did not leave any kind of message.

I asked if I could still come in for the remainder of my appointment (I scheduled 2 back to back). They texted me saying yes, they could still do the pedi for me. While driving I attempted to call twice to let them know what time I would be there, both went to VM. They as I was pulling into the parking lot, they called me back and cancelled my appointment when they had ALREADY confirmed the pedi for me. They said they gave my appointment to someone else. Absolutely ridiculous. And they still charged me for missing the first appointment that was never confirmed.

The woman on the phone was not apologetic whatsoever. This is my third negative interaction with this salon. I will never return and absolutely cannot recommend this establishment to anyone. Perhaps they should take a lesson on customer service. The way you treat people is the most important part of business, and Paint Nail Bar does not know how to do it.
