Vivi has done my dip manicures for about 6 months. I’m recently pregnant and never liked the smell of the acetone to remove the dip color so I mentioned that to her. Vivi suggested I try hard gel instead so we agreed to try it. The gel polish began to bubble after 5 days so I contacted the salon on the 10th day to ask if they can remove the gel and go back to dip. Vivi and the team took it personally (instead of professionally). I still managed to get an appointment to remove the gel and do dip instead but when I got to the salon, I was told Vivi would be out for 2 weeks and that they “tried to call me” (they did not). I was suspicious but decided to give Vivi the benefit of the doubt & really needed my nails done so I kindly asked if Ken could do my dip. He did a good job. Two weeks later, I called to schedule a dip with Vivi but was told Vivi isn’t comfortable doing my dip anymore. I was shocked to hear. Her reaction and behavior is so so rude. I told the front desk that I never criticized her competency. She simply made a suggestion that didn’t work out for me and since these nail services are so expensive, I did what any returning customer would do- call to fix it. Sure, Vivi does nails well but she’s aggressive and doesn’t take any kind of criticism well. She thinks she’s above it. Totally unprofessional. The team altogether handled this situation really poorly. They’ve lost a customer.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Varnish Lab Nails Salon and I must say, it was an incredible experience. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The salon itself was clean, modern, and beautifully decorated.
The staff at Varnish Lab Nails Salon were extremely professional and knowledgeable. They took the time to listen to my preferences and offered helpful suggestions for my nail treatment. I was impressed with their attention to detail and their ability to create stunning nail designs. Overall, my experience at Varnish Lab Nails Salon was exceptional. The friendly staff, beautiful salon, high-quality products, and skilled technicians all contributed to a wonderful visit. Highly recommend!!!!

Paula who always did my hard gel manicure unfortunately has left Varnish. I got no heads up from the staff in advance, instead I show up to my appointment that was prebooked a month earlier and they then tell me Paula is no longer there but they have someone to do my nails. I attempted to try someone new named Nancy at the staff’s recommendation but I ultimately regret it. I tried going to her twice for a hard gel fill and each time was underwhelmed. This last time I voiced my complaints only to be told it’s “how my nail grows”. I got a French manicure and you can easily see the line of demarcation where she filled my nail and where my new growth is. I complained and was offered no discount or explanation. This was the last time I will ever be back. I’ve been going for over two years loyally but am done. It’s not worth the lack of quality. My nails were $90 which is not cheap for them to look this careless. Unless you have a nail tech devoted to you at Varnish I recommend you skip and find another salon.

Been coming here with Tommy for 5 years and each time my nails turn lovely and good shape. Highly recommend Tommy for gel X, Gel builder or Dip

Have come here a couple times now and always get good service! I love that they’re always able to accommodate walk-ins. Tommy & Ken are definitely my favorite technicians here. It is on the pricier side but I think the quality of work is worth the cost. Photos show Gel X manicures!
