I feel very confident to recommend Joe for Dipping Powder! I am very satisfied with the quality of his work, also with his professionalism.

I have been going a few times, the most recent dip was done on Feb. 4, and lasted with no signs of breaking till March. 6. Keep that in mind that I’m not the most gentle person with my hands and I do all my household work myself!

Joe is professional and friendly and is very good at his job. I also appreciate it SO MUCH that he does not talk nor does he ask any (personal) questions. I have seen this happen in previous salons, for introverts or busy people like me, we prefer silence, I think about my work projects while my nails are being done.

In general, the Salon is very organized, you check-in, get points, making appointments very easy. Location is very convenient for Normal residents, easy to find parking.

Typical nail salon. Salon seems pretty clean. “Norman” was my nail tech. His work could be better if he didn’t rush through the process, talked to coworkers, and paid more attention to what he’s doing. $50 for a gel overlay and $40 for a fill-in. 😔

I typically get pedicures at Kim’s and I’ve always had a good experience. Only giving 3 star review today for the following reason. I asked for the fire ice pedicure, I did have a newer younger gal and that’s okay but I know I just received the natural pedicure. She had one of the other gentlemen, whom was great with daughter by the way, go over what was to be done but she just performed a regular $35 pedicure still. That’s fine if she had never done was, was not comfortable, or didn’t do it at all, my toes still look great with the basic. My issue is charging me for the $50 service for the $35 service I received. Make sure charging accordingly.

My wife has been a customer here for the last 4 years and goes every 2-3 weeks. Our teen went today and got a full acrylic set. Same shape and length as my wife. We had given her a $75 gift card. They took the entire gift card and the tip. I called to question why and was advised due to length and shape the cost was $75. Their nails are not long and one of their regular shapes they advertise. Almost identical as what my wife always gets. They ripped my teen off.
If you are willing to steal from a child then you have lost a loyal customer. Hope it was worth it. Go to Kim’s if you want to pay $75 for an acrylic set.

I had a Gel nail manicure instead of using a acetone to remove the old polish he used a electric nail sander causing my nail to become super super thin. Some of my nail are breaking I’m literally wearing bandage on my fingers I went back today after two weeks (my fault for waiting this long) to ask to apply more gel polish to just give my nail extra strength. I was told by a gentleman he was the owner (Kim’s the owner her parents started the shop) He said he would do it but I would have to pay. I said I only needed more polish. 🥺🥺
