This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at a nail salon. Let me preface by saying that I have been going to Modish for five years and before today, I had never been disappointed by them. However, today’s experience was absolutely ridiculous. I called ahead to ask if they were still taking walk-ins for the service I wanted and was assured that they were. Everything was good on arrival but quickly went downhill when I was sat in the chair. The lady that did my nails was in such a rush that she drilled two of my fingers (yes, fingers). I told her I would like the shade “Bubble Bath” by OPI (pale pink). When she got started, she used a brown colored acrylic powder as opposed to the pale pink one which should have been my first red flag because of course the color wouldn’t show up as well. Nevertheless, I persisted and gave her the benefit of the doubt because I told myself that it’s her job and she knows better than I do. She also kept trying to twist my fingers in ways that is humanly impossible which really hurt. My cuticles are so sore from the way she repeatedly ran the nail drill over them. She then went on and used a nipper and dug into the side of one of my nails and twisted it which literally sent a shock of pain throughout my whole body. I yelped in pain and she dismissed me by saying that it was an ingrown nail which I know for a fact was not. She just didn’t file that nail well enough and was trying to get rid of a bump on the nail with the nipper. When it got time to put the gel color on the nails, she rushed that part so quickly that it applied so unevenly. There’s nail polish on the inside of my hands which honestly, how? On top of that, she quite literally ran out of the salon while my hand was still under the light to cure the nail polish. I would have much rather been told that they were no longer taking anyone for the day and come back another day for actual quality service. I left so appalled not even wanting to speak to someone which I absolutely should have. Maybe she was just not having a good day or needed to rush home for something but this was just crazy.

This was honestly the worse manicures I have ever had in my Life.
Thr lady at the desk was awesome but the older lady who did my nails was unfriendly, unprofessional, aggressive with my nails.i came in for a acrylic soak off and a manicure. So before even starting she cuts my acrylics down uneven and then tried to use the tool that pushes your cuticle back, to try and pry my nails. Yes a metal tool!i told her ouch that hurts.then she roughly moves my hand put the way and gets up from her table without saying a word.3 minutes go by and she returns with a nail cart. I get my nails placed in a bowl acrylic.while my nails are soaking she uses the cuticle clipper to clip her own nails and then places it back with the other nail care items. Thought that was unsanitary.so she began to take turns fing off the acrylic and then placing them back into the acetone. She was getting so frustrated with taking off my nails and proceeded to be very rough with my hands.everytime I told her she was hurting me,she never once apologized. She cut my nails again while they were soaking and this time cut it too deep..ouch! So the acrylic is off and now time for the manicure. My water had no soap and the water was ice cold.At this point I just want her to finish so I can leave. She cut my cuticles while they were extremely dry and cut all my nails too low.when I voiced myself it was like she wasn’t listening.. she is cleaning up my thumb nail and clips a whole piece of my skin off and not once apologized for making me bleed. The polish wasn’t applied correctly either. It was definitely a rushed job.
Be selective who does your nails.

Loved the intro and customer service by a younger gal. The ‘hostess’ was lackluster in personality and in her phone a lot.

The person doing my pedi had a scowl and tapped my feet a lot instead of using Any kind of words. I have never had a mani Pedi where my hands(fingers) and feet were not rubbed…. so paying a fair price but for less than I normally get was not okay

I had to tell her to three times in did not want gel on my fingernails. And the shape was not clean and she had a lot to work with.

My mother got a pedi and did not have gel on her toes but after taking the polish off the woman she had used a drill in her toe nail bed! Never seen that and did not care for that. It’s what ruins nails, weirdest thing we’ve ever seen. My mom said her feet were not rubbed just calves so she personally would not come back.

I genuinely would come back to try again, but I know who to avoid.

I won’t be returning to this salon. This was my first time here, my toes are not fully covered with the polish however the service was amazing with the luxury option. My nails are not the same color as my toes, and like my toes my fingernails are not fully covered with polish. I have powder color on my skin around the nail bed and on the pad of my fingertips.

Don’t go here unless you want to wait forever. I’ve been going here for years & its progressively gotten worse with each visit & super expensive. The owner (she) is so unfriendly & rude. Not a word was said to me when I sat down, or when I left. I asked several questions only to be ignored. I’ve never felt so uncomfortable sitting in a chair at a nail salon. That type of behavior is SO unprofessional & uncalled for. I DO NOT recommend this nail salon & will never go back. Without customers, you have no business. ✌🏻
