Update: My gel manicure has chipped on 4 fingers after 1 week. It’s probably more worthwhile to pick a different service than gel.

I’m not sure what services are consistently good but I’m questioning my gel selections. The staff are all certainly friendly, I’m not sure what’s going on in training because this is another round of splotchy application. I like my nails rounded and told the technician twice but she left several nails square. The color is bubbly in various areas, translucent in others. My edges aren’t as clean as I like. I have polish on my fingers.
I’m sure they have good services because they’re always busy. I don’t think gel is the way to go, and certainly you should have enough wiggle room time to stay for corrections if needed.

This is the worst nail salon ever. I went in for dip nails. First, I got sliced by the nail file and started bleeding. Ok. It happens. I told the tech that it hurt. 5 times throughout the rest of the manicure, she went back to the same finger, slicing the cut open over and over after I told her it hurt. She finished the dip manicure and the color had a bunch of random black speckles in it. I told the tech and she tried to tell me that was part of the color and it was supposed to be like that. She then offered to go over the dip with gel polish to cover the color so I said ok. She then goes over it with a polish color and all around the edges you could see the previous darker color like a bold outline. I then told her you can see the old color still. She offered to redo them completely (after I already spent 2 hours there). I didn’t have time to stay and have her completely redo them AGAIN. I paid and left and it got worse after I saw them in the sunlight. There’s polish all over my fingers and the outline is more obvious in the sun. I called and asked for a refund. They say they don’t do refunds but offered to redo my nails again. This was the first time in 2 weeks I was able to set aside time to actually get them done. I don’t have time to come back and have them redone. Not to mention why would I ever want to go back there. I can’t believe they even let me walk out and pay for them they look terrible.

I never do acrylic anymore because of the thick/bulkiness… but really needed my nails filled.
I normally only do hard gel or luminary, but DON legit proved me wrong.
He applied the most natural, acrylic ever, perfect attention to every detail from shaping to painting.
As a current cosmetologist/nail tech I was extremely impressed and will be back!

Paid $80+ for gel pedicure and manicure to trim cuticles and buff out ridges (no polish).
Gel is uneven; cuticles were bleeding and the tech barely swiped them with the buffer.
I’ve had good experiences there before, so I’m not sure what happened this time.

Due to a horrible manicure from another salon 2 months ago…I tried to fix my nails, but i only made things worse. I was embarrassed, but i needed my nails fixed…but who?? Don at Luminous performed a real miracle. Very patient, very thorough. Ill be back.
Update: been back a few times for a manicure, Don, as usual did a perfect job! So glad i found this nail salon!!!
Update: after numerous visits at this salon, Don continues to use his skills to make my natural nails look incredible. When the nail techs are not working with a client, you will find them at their stations practicing and perfecting nail designs. Everyone is very friendly. ( Vivian is great at cat eye designs)
Add on review. 7/9/24. Been coming here for quite a few manicures and I’m always thrilled when I leave. I find everyone to be friendly and professional. I have long natural nails and Don seems to know exactly what to do to my nails. I’ve never had any problems with the service here, always thrilled when I leave.
