Pic: 3 week old nails ! going For My Refill Now 😁 BTW had so Many People Compliment My Nails
if im being honest, this was one of the worst experiences that i have had at a salon. They are very nice, prices were very cheap, and the place is very clean, but they did not do what i asked of them.
my original salon was a booked out for the day but i really needed them done asap due to having 3 of my nails bending😣. i called nailcity after seeing they had decently good reviews (i know why now though🙄) & they were available. i wanted a soak off and new gel set since they were old, & told them on the phone AND when i got there/sitting in the chair. He started to prep my nails (very gentle w them which was a plus though) and then just did an acrylic refill. okay, whatever. i could overlook that. halfway through him shaping, i asked if i could get them a little shorter. “sorry, too late.”
they were completely uneven. one side was decent but had lots of bumps. other side was full of lumps and incredibly thick. the bumps werent noticeable to my eye until the paint was on. the nail also curved downward, kinda like a cat’s claw😩. i had to go home and file them myself to make them at least wearable.
i hopped through three different chairs to get them painted. i changed my orginal idea bc i didnt see the colors i wanted. so i picked something completely different/pretty simple. showed the picture of the color (cream white and a very light/pastel tan). she picked dark brown and white. when i seen the colors, i asked if we could just do a plain light blue on all nails and was ignored. proceeded to paint in the off colors. butchered the simple design. there was bubbles in the polish also. ALSO left acrylic and polish alllll over my nails that i had to clean myself when getting home.
proceeded to take photos on her own phone, completely fine. but then took my phone and posted her OWN 5 STAR REVIEW!! like what???
as i was about to pay with my card, she seen the cash i had in my wallet & told me to pay cash. i wanted to pay card and give a small tip w cash. it was $30 and i had $31. i told her that and she took the money out of my hands & said “its okay. see you soon” i was kinda in shock and left.
it is the next day now, and my polish is chipping off already!!! so, im correcting her review. you get what you paid for, i guess. i will not be returning here.
