I went to Gaelic and got a dip manicure. I used to get dip for 4 years so I’m aware it typically does not break easily. I went to Gaelic on a Friday and by Sunday, my nails were chipping / cracking. On Tuesday, all of my nails had broken. I was not “rough” with my hands so there was no reason for dip to break this easily. I reached out to Gaelic and they offered me times to go in, a week later. I was unable to go get them fixed since I was traveling the days they wanted me to go in. I asked for a full OR even a partial refund and the managers said no and refused. They eventually stopped messaging me. Very disappointing for somewhere that is spoken so highly of. I would’ve even taken 50% of my money back- but I just stopped getting answers.

I’m a dip powder girl through and through. I saw my friend’s nails at work and I had to know who did them and where she goes. She told me Mimi at Gaelic and that’s exactly who I went to next! A couple things I look for: 1. That the nails are not thick (thus looking bulky and chipping more easily). 2. The shape is even and consistent. 3. That the dip goes as close to my cuticles as possible so there is no gap or natural nail showing at the top. Bonus: that they clean up after the glue and cut cuticles. Mimi was careful with all those things! Excellent job! She spent 1 hr and a half on my nails. Highly recommend. She’s the reason I’m leaving my other salon for Gaelic. Mimi, get ready for a new regular.

Have been going to Gaelic for so long and love my nails every time. I’ve never had a bad experience and always enjoy my time with the team. While planning my wedding nails, Dana guided me through the entire process!

I’ve been going to Gaelic for almost a year now and my nails look amazing every time! I’m so thankful for Le and her attention to detail. She always shapes my nails perfectly, which is something I’m extra picky about. The salon is also very clean/sanitary. 5 stars for sure!

I’ve heard great things about this place, unfortunately I think I just ended up with a technician who lacked training. I got a dip manicure with tips and it took over an hour and a half. I’ve gotten dip with extensions and a design in an hour, this was crazy. I had to ask multiple times to fix my shape (just square….) before the dip was put on and then the disaster began. I’ve never in my life seen 8 layers or dip powder applied, yet I got 2 thick base clear layers and SIX color layers. not to mention the left and right hand were done differently. my nails looked like duck nails and they were so thick and puffy even after she shaped them. thirty minutes of using the tiniest file and I asked to fix the shape because they were just still too thick. I felt bad it seemed like Loan was trying hard and said she got nervous because of the tips? i had to ask again to just make the shape a square and make it less thick and she finally went in with the drill instead of the tiny file… but slipped TWICE and got my skin with the drill and it hurt so much. I finally just said the shape was fine and hoped it would be over faster. Also I’m not sure if it’s standard for dip but she didn’t clean up any cuticles or anything either. I went home and took a nail file to them myself because they were honestly embarrassing. Again, I know this place has great potential and i just didn’t luck out with who I got. Please make sure your techs are trained enough for the services they’re doing.
