Customer Reviews:
Pretty upset with my experience. At first I was really happy with my dip with a gel top. I got them done on Friday 11/17. By 11/21 they were cracking and breaking. They didn’t even last a week and I paid 60 dollars not including tip with this! So much for trying a new salon closer to home. Should’ve stayed with my normal place as my dip w/ gel has always lasted around 3 weeks! Super disappointed. Will not return nor would I ever recommend. Also when the nail tech was filing my nails she trimmed them with the bur and it burnt my finger. No nail file used to shape and trip just the bur.
My most recent visit was this blue set of gel dip. I guess pushing back and trimming cuticles is not part of this $60 service? Instead, they are painfully filed away with the electric file. I realized this with my last set of nails so this time I made sure I asked for a manicure in addition to a change of color for my gel dip. Nope, still got the electric file and my cuticle beds feel and look like paper cuts. My ring finger has about 3 noticeable cut marks. I am sure this will get blamed on my “inability to keep my fingers still” but it was very hard to keep my fingers relaxed when the tech was rushing the service. As the pictures show, I started bleeding and could I have pointed this out, yes. But I figured it was obvious and my tech would apologize… nope, she just kept spraying them with alcohol to stop the bleeding.. OWCH.
Moving on, she started trimming my nails very rushed and fast, not following the almondy/oval shape of my previous set. I did agree on length and was trusting her process and hoped that they would be reshaped to my liking. As soon as I agreed on length, she began the dipping process. I am no nail expert, but my nails have always been the shape I want prior to starting the dip process. Once she was done applying the gel, obviously they were hard to reshape. All my nails were very squoval. And she clearly was not in the mood to continue reshaping. To finish, she applied 3 layers of clear gel polish and there are several air bubbles that don’t show up on the pictures. These are easily the thickest gel dipped nails I’ve ever had.
At this point, my fingers hurt and I really just wanted out of there. When I got home I spent an hour reshaping to the shape that you’ll see in my pictures below. I think it’s time for me to find another salon, especially after seeing all the similarities in other reviews.
and it’s not the most expensive but it is great for me as a guy.
