I would not recommend for acrylics. My nails were so thick I had to pay another place to remove them the same day.

I’ve always come here with my aunt who became close to the owner, Amy. Recently started doing gel nails with her and she does absolutely amazing! Very patient and great to talk to. The shop is small but it gets the job done. Only little flaws is her shop doesn’t have heating or a/c and she only accepts cash but that’s not a big deal.

A lovely little salon. Amy, the owner, was very patient with my friend, who was getting nails for the first time and asking a lot of questions. Also so patient with me taking forever to pick out a color lol. She does such good work and has been in the neighborhood for decades. Clearly has a lot of long time regulars. Highly recommend.

I am really confused by this, I see how many wonderful reviews Amy has and I did have a great experience the first time I went.

I went for a fill for a full set and polish change. I was charged 10 dollars more than the listed price but didn’t think too much of it, some people hike up prices for longer nails.

About 4 days later one the nails snapped off. I went to Amy and she asked me to come back tomorrow. I asked when and she didn’t give me a time, and just told me to call. The next morning I called and came in. I first noticed she replaced the nail with the incorrect shape. All my nails were ballerina and this was a coffin. She charged me 7 dollars for the nail repair though the posted amount is 5.

A few hours later, my pinky snapped off. I called her again and she told me she couldn’t fit it today and to call tomorrow. I asked if I could make an appointment now, and she said to just call tomorrow. I called the next morning, as she said. I asked when to come in and she told me she wasn’t sure, she was busy, she’d call me when she was free.

She did not call me all day or the next day or at all. Just now another snapped off, and I know there is no point in reaching out.

I am confused because I read such lovely things and I experienced something totally different. She was always nice to talk to and felt very friendly. Between the nails breaking off consistently less than a week after service, not allowing me to schedule appointments to fix them, repairing them incorrectly, up charging for both the repair and initial service, and then ghosting me? I’m really not sure what happened here

I went here for my first time and it was great! She left my nails longer than I usually have them and I’m really quite pleased with them. She clearly has a great relationship with her customers as she knew everyone that walked through the door. Will definitely go back
